Lucky

Today was the first non-down-pour day all week. In fact, we didn't have rain at all! It was wonderful seeing the blue sky and white fluffy clouds again. Though, it didn't get above 48 degrees that I know of.
So instead of Skyler riding the bus to Kindergarten this afternoon we walked. We left with plenty of time to spare but Heidi didn't want to sit in the jogger, she wanted to run. Run but dawdle, it took forever. I finally made her ride so we'd make it- and we only made it with about 10 seconds to spare! (otherwise we'd have to check in at the office, get a tardy slip, and walk him to class- not a big deal but Skyler didn't want to be late.) Skyler also ran, then waited at every corner - during one such wait he started picking clovers and was ecstatic to find a 4 leaf clover! His friend told him It'll bring good luck for a whole week.
Skyler turns 6 tomorrow - about 3pm to be exact. Wow. Colt let him sleep on the top bunk tonight as an early birthday present. We have many fun things planned:

He picked out his birthday cereal -Cookie Crisp and can hardly wait for breakfast
Plus it's Morning with Mom before Colt starts school - muffins and donuts for all
He gets one present before school, and hopefully it'll keep him busy!
Birthday treat for the class
Favorite dinner(colored tortellinis) - and I'll bake up something to put a candle in to sing to him (we ordered an awesome Pokemon cake for Saturday)
Then Dad and him get to go see the play "The Boy who Cried Wolf" in the evening - it's a surprise!

Saturday will be a party - games - cake - balloons - etc. after swim lessons
So now I need to get decorating, we like birthdays around here!
And Tom just remembered there's a pot-luck lunch at work tomorrow. Good thing he can cook!
