Colt's 8th Birthday

Colt had an awesome 8th birthday July 1st.... a few traditions: birthday kids get to pick any breakfast cereal! This is a big deal since I'm picky about what they usually get for cereal.

Another tradition; kids get one gift from each family member...so if you ever hear them begging for another sibling this is why. Colt loves M&M's, so one gift was this super soft blanket.

His big gift was a basketball hoop.... just in time for summer break

Skyler got Colt 2 super soakers...wasn't that nice?

It was a beautiful day and even Heidi had fun in the sprinkler.

Colt's favorite present....a paper jamz electric guitar. This thing is so much fun!

Dinner at Red Robin (mostly to keep my kitchen clean for my sister and her family arriving that evening) Colt was looking forward to getting sung to by the servers but got so embarassed when they did sing to him.

Then the best part of the day.... my sister and her family arrived! The 4 older kids had a sleepover in the boys room, the 2 toddlers were very cute together and the baby was adorable. It was so great to see Julie! We were also happy to see her husband:)

So this is Heidi's baby. She kept saying "my baby." We were talking and looked down to see her reading Dallin a book-then another and another. It was sweet. We saw them 5 of the 9 days they were here and every time she would ask "my baby?" and go find where he was and who had him. Since they've left she's asked for her baby several times. Good thing she has another new cousin on Tom's side of the family visiting soon!

So all in all a very fun birthday. The following day was Colt's baptism, then Sunday was church in Poulsbo for Dallin's baby blessing-we then spent the night so we could enjoy the 4th of July with cousins and grandparents. So basically-more pictures coming soon!
