Meet "Color," Colt's school project...

In 2nd grade in our district each student gets their own caterpillar. They watch and record data on the changes their caterpillars go through. Colt named his "Color" thinking it might turn into a colorful butterfly. Right now it's in a chrystallis, he's had fun watching the many changes. Each student was asked to make a caterpillar this weekend with 13 segments that are flexible and a larger head. We had lots of crafts poms from a piano incentive I did with my students 2 years ago. Colt used a long needle and thread to string the poms together then he glued the eyes on.

How fun! Matt's class got to do caterpillars too. He loved it and it was fun to hear him talk about what stage his caterpillar was in. :)
