Sklyer frequently begs to hold Heidi - if I don't comply he will most likely try picking her up when I'm not looking - a 4 year old picking up a newborn looks like this: he wraps his arms around her middle and quickly lifts, with no regard to the floppy head. So I usually let him hold her when he asks.
Colt loves to read to Heidi - he's always careful to make sure she can see the pictures, even if it means yelling for his brother to move over.
